Proud to be a Purple Heart Bank
09/10/2026
At Lytle State Bank, community isn't just a word we use — it's something we live out every day. Our commitment to community was recognized in a meaningful way when we received the historic designation of "Purple Heart Bank” on October 19, 2018.
What Does It Mean to Be a Purple Heart Bank?
This special designation is a public recognition of our ongoing support for veterans and their families. It reflects years of supporting and honoring those who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.
A Legacy of Support
Our connection to this honor didn't happen overnight. It's the result of years of supporting the Lytle VFW and the broader community. Through the years, our team has taken the opportunity to honor and stand alongside veterans and their families. One of our favorite events is the chili cook-off hosted at the Lytle VFW!
On October 19, 2018, Lytle State Bank was officially honored as a Purple Heart Bank by Texas State Commander Jon Lunkwicz of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. This recognition stands as a small nod of our bank's commitment to those who have given so much for our freedom.
Proud to Serve Our Veterans
We are deeply honored by this designation, and it continues to inspire us in our mission to support the veterans and families who make up our community. After all, we are close to Military City USA®. Whether you’re living in San Antonio, Lytle, Somerset, or another nearby town, we believe in serving our neighbors.
A special thank you to all our veterans for your service and sacrifice.
